About
department of Unruly histories (DUH) is an audio visual art project run by Meera Shakti Osborne. DUH's intention is to build a historical archive of people's unique and often-untold stories in London.
DUH is a multi-part series, working with a range of diasporic communities and individuals across London.
Participants choose which histories they would like to record, and together we have been creating sound pieces and visual publications which range from conversational to experimental. Archives are, by their nature, unruly–a quality that DUH encourages throughout the process.
Full audio pieces will be released in 2023. Limited printed publications are available, if you would like one please get in touch.
